The Flying School itself continues a well established tradition of flying training from Old Sarum which has existed since the Airfield’s creation in the First World War. English Heritage describes Old Sarum as the best preserved flying field of the period. Whilst civilian flight training has only been carried out since the 1980s, Old Sarum has a good track record of producing very competent private pilots, and this is a tradition we are proud to continue. Whether your intention is to learn to fly simply for fun, or to fulfill a lifelong ambition (whatever your age!), we think you’ll struggle to find a better combination of location and atmosphere, together with a flying school which prides itself on safe, high quality tuition.
